Guide to your Healthy Breakfast - Everything you should know

Balanced Diet

According to Ayurveda, the digestive fire and the sun are connected; as the sun rises, our digestive fire begins to build up; at noon, when the sun is at its peak, so is our digestive fire; and in the evening, when the sun begins to set, our digestive fire begins to diminish. This means that we should eat light for breakfast, heavy for lunch, and light for dinner.

Food should not be consumed after sunset.

In this arctile we will be discussing about breakfast.

Breakfast

In the morning, when our digestive fire has just begun to develop, we should eat light food which doesn't put burden on our digestive system.
Seasonal fruits and raw vegetables should be part of our breakfast.
Avoid starting your morning with lot of acidic fruits like oranges.

Raisins, apricots, figs, dates, coconut, and other dried fruits are examples.

We should be very careful about our breakfast choices; if we consume something that is not a suitable combination with milk and yoghurt, we should consult the doctor right away. Dairy goods like Milk, Cream, Yogurt, and Cheese should also be included in breakfast.

When one of my cousins had milk and cucumber and was ill, they were in  hospital and kept there for about a week.

You can consume a banana, an apple, whole grains like roti or paratha, and sprouts with milk.

If you have eaten anything that is not a healthy combination with milk and yoghurt, you should wait a minimum of one to two hours before having it again. There are numerous items that we should avoid consuming with milk and yoghurt. Later on, I'll share a thorough post with you on what you may and cannot eat with milk.

Whole grains

Include whole grains in your breakfast because they can be used to make roti or paratha.

The breakfast should be divided into two portions because whole grains take long time to digest. The first portion should consist of fruits, salads, raw vegetables, and dry fruits. The second portion should also contain whole grains and dairy products like milk and curd. There should be about two hours between the first and second portions of breakfast.
