How To Be Safe From Comparison
I have worked with a lot of startups during my previous 2 years and now also working with one and I got to know that all are making the same mistake again and again. So whether you are a working professional, starting your own startup in any domain, or want to enhance your way of thinking to the right pattern then this blog will surely help you. So let's get started with a simple question?
FROM WHERE THIS COMPARISON MINDSET?
Our childhood practice is very prominent. When we are children we are pure souls at that time. We are at the stage where we want to know everything around us. We have a lot of questions to ask our parents and our elders that what it is?. You might have also asked to your parents REMEMBER?. If yes then you would be able to totally relate that what I am saying. So Whenever we want to learn new things then we are dependent on others but not totally ok let me explain why via a small story.
"There was a boy named Vignesh when he was 2 years old he loved to do the painting. He paints because he loves to paint, this painting art was amusing him. He was doing a painting for himself. But when he becomes 3 years old when he started going to school there was a period of arts the teacher comes into the class and taught some principles and says that now make this painting so just like other students he also starts making a painting but this time when he made painting he was not happy because his elders scolded on him because he got 9 marks and some of the others got 10 marks. His mother didn't say something wrong to him that you need to be better but if she has explained that particular statement in a more elaborate way then Vignesh would not have become the victim of comparison. Now next day when he went to school then again his teacher said him to draw a painting now this time he was looking on other sheets at what they are painting and how can be better than them because of the environment, current education system, and his experiences taught him to do a comparison on the basis of marks."
WHAT TO LEARN FROM THIS STORY?
This story tells us that how a small child becomes a victim of comparison of the social environment. We should learn to be very careful that what we say to children. Because at this pure stage he builds his base and if the building base is not strong then how a building can be strong enough to face difficulties like high storms and earthquakes.
As you all might have known the GIGO principle right! .So what result would you expect from that small child if you would negativity in his mind surely the output would be negativity out right!. So Whatever our input will be it equals our output. As our subconscious mind does not discriminate.
