CHEMICALS THAT INFLUENCE OUR MOOD AND EMOTION

Anger causing chemical

Many times we do feel anger for many issues and matters. It’s so difficult to find a person who has never become furious in his/her life. Do you ever think about why this emotion is coming to you? It's due to the chemical substances in our body called `Epinephrine’ and ` Norepinephrine’. They are also known as adrenalin and noradrenalin. Whenever a person feels anger, his body makes minute and noticeable changes. The first symptom is visible as increased heartbeat due to the rising blood pressure. This is a common symptom whereas, for some persons,  they will sweat due to anger and for some others, their eye pupils will dilate. The rising in blood pressure is due to the excessive flow of blood through the muscles in the hands and legs. All these changes occur when the adrenaline gland ejects the hormone, epinephrine.

Desperation inducing chemical

People feel distressed sometimes due to failures, losses, and some other reasons. We have noticed some persons who are being sad even for silly cases. It’s not due to their weakness rather due to a chemical substance called `Serotonin’. This hormone that controls our happiness and sadness is produced by an amino acid compound called ‘Tryptophan’. The lower level of serotonin makes people extremely lonely and depressed. A higher level of serotonin makes people cheerful and delighted. It’s a common telling that if sadness occurs, it’s better to cry out. Why is it so? Tears are of three types. The first type is the moisture content that’s always in the eyes. This helps to avoid dryness and make your eyes always wet. The second type is the tear that comes whenever dust or minute particles enter your eyes. This benefits to clean all the dirt from the eyes to avoid infections. The final kind of tear comes during an emotional breakdown. In this tear, the level of manganese would be high and the release of manganese through weeping relieves us from stress and pain. That's how we feel a bit relaxed after having a wailing.

Attracting chemical

If a person gets attracted to another person, it’s not due to any materialistic or sensual aspects. These situations happen due to a hormone called `Phermone’ that can be seen in animal bodies. In 1986, some researchers in Philadelphia Chemical Senses Centre found out the presence of the hormone in human's sweat and urine. If two persons fall in love and are married, they have gone through three steps. Firstly, hormones like testosterone and estrogen have been performed to feel attraction. The second step starts by having strong feelings of attraction where some chemical changes happened due to the combined action of monoamines, serotonin, and epinephrine. Their emotional state will elevate to utmost happiness by another hormone called `Dopamine’. Ultimately, the action of the Phenyl Ethyl Amine chemical aid them to be together and this chemical is also in chocolate, strawberry, etc.

Any kind of malfunctioning of these chemicals can crab your body system. Hence, take care of your physical and mental health.
