Eat sleep play and repeat

A healthy lifestyle is not about maintaining a stringent diet plan nor is it about a hectic exercise routine nor about good sleeping habits. It's all of these combined along with what happens between them that lead to a healthy lifestyle.

Eat sleep play and repeat

Kavia, a 16-year-old girl studying her class X just like all of her classmates and peers across the country is on a quest to completing her Board exams with flying colors. She utilizes every bit of time available in this regard at times even ignoring her food and sleep. Also in some of her interactions with her friends, she learns that to stay fit as a girl it's all about how little food she eats. If only staying fit was so easy!!!

Ravi, Pursuing his Under-grad thinks that the key to a healthy life lies in fitness and he exerts his body more than it can take by way of various exercise routines and yoga. Little does he know that a healthy life is not all about physical fitness and playing outdoors. In fact, a certain amount of exercise is good for the body but overdoing the same could undo their benefits and at times prove risky too.

Amar, fresh into his new job, returns home daily at 6 PM, has dinner, and then is then glued to his phone or laptop until late at night either binge-watching or texting his friends despite his job requiring him to wake up and report early to the office. Something many of us do right?. We feel we are fresh enough that sleep is but a secondary option or at times even a sheer waste of time.

If food and exercise were for the body, then what's for the mind. It too requires its share of satiation after the grueling human day. Nothing better than taking your girlfriend out for a dinner, or texting a friend, or catching up with a newly released OTT series. While doing each of these nothing else in the world feels better. All of these satiate the mind like how food does to our body. Many of us stop here at the cost of our sleep.

If the secret of success to maintaining a healthy body was a good fitness routine, then what is it for the mind. Try not to reboot your laptop for a week, you'll know. Sleep plays as much role as a food and physical fitness play in our life. It isn't something that can be compromised. Sleep gives rest to our mind more than it does to our body. Research has shown lack of sleep and you are on the pathway to many lifestyle diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular issues, obesity, high blood pressure, etc.

The gateway to a good life is a well-planned lifestyle that not only consists of stringent diet plans, physical exercise routines, or a good sleep but all of these. From something as silly as the time we go to bed and the time we're out of bed to complex fitness routines. It's only when we do all of these that we can say our lifestyle is healthy. Apart from these, there is also food for the soul. Having good reading habits, watching things that keep us positive and motivated will keep us motivated. It is not heard of,  what we watch we become. I believe once we keep all these in mind a long and healthy life will no longer be a utopian dream.
