EASY BUN RECIPES

 

   1. Pav Buns

Ingredients

  • Flour- 250 gms
  • Sugar- 50 gms
  • Salt- 5 gms
  • Yeast- 6 gms
  • Melted Butter- 20 ml
  • Margarine- 10 gms
  • Egg- 1 no
  • Milk powder- 5 gms
  • Water- 120 ml to 130 ml

 

Method

 Mix yeast and sugar in warm water and keep it aside for 10 to 12 minutes to ferment. Sieve the flour with milk powder and make a well in the center. Pour the fermented mixture into the flour mixture and add some salt to it. Start rubbing by adding water little by little. Continue this kneading process for 15-20 minutes. Then add the creamed margarine and knead again to make a shiny dough and keep it for rest(15 minutes). Punch and roll the dough and cover it with a wet cloth to avoid dryness. Allow the dough to get bulk fermentation for one hour. After one hour, give a punching or press it down and divide the dough to 10 gms each. Roll them tightly and arrange them in a greased tray. Give egg wash and then allow it for proving(the final rise before baking). When it rises to a certain height, bake it at 230 degrees celsius for 10 to 12 minutes. Finally, apply butter and let it cool down. Your Pav bun is ready now.

 

   2. Vanilla Bun

 

Ingredients

  • Flour- 100 gms
  • Sugar- 100 gms
  • Margarine- 100 gms
  • Egg- 2 nos
  • Vanilla flavor- as required
  • Baking powder- 2 gms

 

Method

Whisk egg and sugar, then keep it aside. Sieve flour and baking powder and add creamed margarine into this flour mixture. Add the beaten egg mixture into this mixture(cream+flour) little by little. Add essence and make sure that the mixture is not curdling. Pour the batter into the mould and bake at 200 degrees celsius for about 15 to 20 minutes. After baking, demould it and cool it. Your Vanilla Bun is ready to eat now.

 

   3. Butterfly Bun

Ingredients

  • Flour- 100 gms
  • Sugar- 100 gms
  • Melted butter- 20 ml
  • Grated cheese- 50 gms
  • Margarine- 100 gms
  • Egg- 2 nos
  • Vanilla flavor- as required
  • Baking powder- 2 gms

 

Method

 Whisk egg and sugar, then keep it aside. Sieve flour with baking powder and cream the fat nicely. Now add the creamed fat into this flour mixture. Then add the egg mixture to this little by little and add some vanilla flavor. Make sure that it’s not getting curdle. Pour the batter in a prepared muffin mould and bake at 200 degrees celsius for 15 to 20 minutes. After baking, demould and cool it. Then cut the top of the muffin in a round shape and cut it in half, so it will look like wings. Finally, pipe the buttercream on the topless muffin and fix the cut pieces muffin top like a butterfly. Your Butterfly Bun is hot to serve now.
