THREE EASY COOKIE RECIPES
1. Vanilla cookies
Ingredients
- Flour – 100 gms
- Icing sugar – 55 gms
- Margarine – 70 gms
- Baking powder – 2 gms
- Milk powder – a pinch
- Vanilla essence – As required
- Egg – ½ no
Method
Initially, sieve the flour with baking powder and milk powder. Mix margarine and icing sugar and make it in a cream consistency. Add the beaten egg and vanilla essence. Vanilla essence is used to prevent the smell of egg and to add flavor. Then add the flour and make a soft dough by kneading. Roll it into small balls and flatten into ½ thickness and cut it into the required shape. Arrange them in a greased tray and bake at 160 degrees celsius for 10 to 15 minutes. Let it cool down to get a crunchy texture. Your Vanilla cookies are ready to eat.
2. Nutty Cookies
Ingredients
Flour – 100 gms
Icing sugar – 55 gms
Margarine – 70 gms
Baking powder – 2 gms
Milk powder – a pinch
Roasted mixed nuts- 50 gms
Egg- ½ no
Method
Mix flour, baking powder, and milk powder and sieve them. Cream the fat (margarine) and icing sugar together. Then add the beaten egg and put the flour into this semi-liquid mixture. Make a soft dough by kneading method. Keep them in the refrigerator for 10-12 minutes. Mix some nuts and roll them into a round shape. After flattening in the required shape, arrange them in a greased tray. Bake them at 160 degrees celsius for 10 to 15 minutes and allow them to cool down. The nutty cookies are ready to eat.
3. Masala Cookies
Ingredients
- Flour – 100 gms
- Icing sugar – 15 gms
- Margarine – 50 gms
- Salt – 5 gms
- Baking powder – 2 gms
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Egg – ½ no
- Water – to mix
- Chilly powder – 5 gms
- Garam masala – 5 gms
- Turmeric powder – 5 gms
- Curry leaves – few
- Mint leaves – few ( optional)
- Coriander leaves – few
- Cooked Ginger-Garlic paste- few
Method
Mix the flour with baking powder, chilly powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, and salt. Sieve this mixture and place it aside. Cream the margarine and icing sugar together. Add beaten egg, vanilla essence to this mixture. Then add the flour and make a soft dough by rubbing method. Add some curry leaves, coriander leaves, mint leaves, and ginger- garlic paste. Keep them in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Now make this dough into small balls and sheet into ½ thickness. Arrange them in a greased tray and bake at 160 degrees celsius for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve it hot to devour the spiciness of these masala cookies.
