Heat oil in a pan and some cumin seeds. On medium flame, saute it for few seconds.

Add the capsicum and saute it for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.

Put the onion and fry it for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.

Add turmeric powder, tomato, red chilli powder, cumin powder, and salt, blend it well.
Step 5
Cover the dish and cook it for 3-4 minutes on low flame.
Step 6
Add some garam masala powder and sugar, blend it well.
Step 7
Cover the dish and cook it for 3-4 minutes on low flame, continue to mix in between.
Step 8
Turn off the flame. Your Capsicum masala/Shimla Mirch sabzi is ready, serve it hot paratha or roti or chapati.
