Mumbai Style Tawa Pulao is a delicious recipe made in minutes in a pressure cooker/Tawa. Mumbai Style Tawa Pulao is relished by all and also goes very well with all drinks. This recipe is passed on to me by my granny, who got it from her mother, and so on.

Ingredients for Mumbai Style Tawa Pulao Recipe

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and fry it for few minutes on medium flame. 

Step 2

Add onion and fry it for 2-3 minutes on medium flame, continue to mix in the middle. 

Step 3

Add green peas and capsicum, mix it and fry it for 2-3 minutes on medium fire. 

Step 4

Add ginger-garlic paste, blend it and cook it briefly on low flame. 

Step 5

Add tomatoes, blend them, cover the container and cook it for 3-4 minutes on medium flame. 

Step 6

Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and blend it well, cover the skillet and cook it briefly on low flame. 

Step 7

Add boiled potatoes(you may utilize paneer), pav bhaji masala powder, and mix it appropriately. 

Step 8

Cover the dish and cook it for 2 minutes on low flame. 

Step 9

Add boiled rice and salt, blend it cover the dish, and cook it for 2 minutes on low flame. 

Step 10

Add garam masala powder and coriander leaves, blend them appropriately. 

Step 11

Cover the pan and cook it for a minute on low flame.

Step 12

Add lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix it properly.

Step 13

Turn off the flame, Tawa pulao is ready to be served and eaten.
