N R Narayana Murthy

 N R Narayana Murthy who hailed from a middle-class family in Karnataka is also known as the ` father of the Indian IT sector. This name was designated to him as he was the co-founder of Infosys, a global software consulting company. After completing studies in NIE and IIT, he was appointed as the chief systems programmer in IIM, Ahmedabad. Soon, he returned to his homeland and made up a company name `Softronics’ but the pathetic fall of it made him join Patni computer systems in Pune where he started Infosys with 6 software professionals in 1981. He served as its CEO for 21 years and made notable contributions. Thus he holds the position of being the chief mentor of Infosys till retirement and now serving as the Chairman Emeritus of Infosys.

 

Sunder Pichai

Sunder Pichai who came from Tamil Nadu is best known as the chief executive officer of Google.Inc. After his inspirational college life in IIT Kharagpur, he worked on various projects of Google like the development of Google products including Google Drive, Chrome OS, Google Chrome, and also oversees the development of Google Map and Gmail. Sunder Pichai added Android to the list of Google products and due to all these crucial roles, he became the CEO of Google on 10th August 2015.

 

Satya Nadella

The innovative taste for computer studies made Satya Nadella the chief executive officer of the tech giant Microsoft. After completing studies, he joined Sun Microsystems and later took part in Microsoft company where he grasped a lot of opportunities.  Satya Nadella was administered as the senior vice president of research and development for the online service division in Microsoft. This hiked the revenue of Microsoft and he was also involved in the making and functioning of Microsoft computing platforms and cloud computing services. On 4th February 2014, Satya Nadella was installed as the CEO of Microsoft and thus he became the third chief executive in the company’s history following Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.

 

Pranav Mistry

Pranav Mistry who became a celebrity in IT at a young age is a computer scientist from Gujarat. His pathbreaking innovations like the Sixth sense which is a pendant-like device with a camera, mini projector sensors, and computing device helps users to use their fingers to interact with the objects. Mouseless, the invisible mouse with infrared camera and laser; Blinkbot, system to control the robot by a blink; Quickies, technical notes to send messages and reminders; Sparsh, method of data transferring between devices by touch gestures are all his breakthroughs. Pranav is tagged as the young global leader in 2013 by the World Economic Forum and one among the 15 Asian scientists to follow. By the age of 35, he became the head of the Think Tank team and Director of Research at Samsung in 2012. He has also worked in prestigious companies like NASA, Microsoft, Google, etc.
